Review: Fun at the LAN Party at Stevens-Henager College-Provo/Orem Campus

The Provo/Orem campus of Stevens-Henager College is grateful to all those who came and played at the LAN Party on Friday, December 2, 2011. With a total of 38 people, it was a great success and a lot of fun.  Because of how successful this party was, the Provo/Orem campus is meeting to go over how often this event will take place.

Due to the large turn out and because of time limitations, we were unable to start the 3v3 tournament, but are now looking forward to holding the team matches soon and crowning the winners.  Out of our 1v1 matches, the prizes went to:

>First Place: Screen name Arcanous who received $50 to Play N Trade and $25 to Games People Play
>Second Place: Screen name TehBorg who received $20 to Play N Trade and $25 to Games People Play
>Third Place: Screen name Cloud who received $5 to Play N Trade and $25 to Games People Play.

The Provo/Orem campus wishes to thank the party sponsors, Play N Trade and Games People Play, for the awesome prizes.

A special thank you also goes out to James Long, who put together the casting and the bracket. He said this about the LAN Party:

“I loved how open it was. Everybody seemed happy with it. The network was awesome, and all the assistants were helpful. In general it was a great experience. I recommend it to everyone, even if you don’t play games that much, and I’ll be going to every single one in the future if humanly possible! Big thanks to all of you over there for organizing it!”

A replay of the final game can be found here, and the Finished Bracket can be found here. More photos of this event can be found at the official Stevens-Henager College Flickr account.
