Business Students Secure Top-Ten Placements in Statewide Competition
Ogden, Utah (May 02, 2013) —
Business and accounting students from the Ogden campus of Stevens-Henager College, a leading provider of on-campus and online higher education, qualified to compete in the Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda (FBLA-PBL) national competition, which will be held in June in Anaheim, Calif.
Ten students placed in the top ten in 20 categories at the statewide competition held last month, securing their spots in the national competition. The students took home 49 awards in total, with five of the students taking home first-place awards in business law, cybersecurity, human resource management, information management and retail management.
“At Stevens-Henager College, we actively seek opportunities for our students to practice the real-world skills they learn in their classes,” said Vicky Dewsnup, Ogden campus president. “The success of our students in the competition is indicative of the quality of education they are gaining at Stevens-Henager College.”
