Almost three years ago we contracted with a company, Smarthinking, to provide writing support for all students.
Many of you used Smarthinking in your first course at Stevens-Henager College Online in 
PSY101. The assignment involved writing a rough draft of your paper, saving the document, then sending it to Smarthinking. Smarthinking personnel would then review your document and return your paper with recommendations on how to improve the paper in about 24 hours. You then reviewed the corrections, made appropriate modifications to your paper, then submitted the paper for grading. Cool!
Sadly, for many students, this is the last time you used the service. Did you know? We contracted this service for you so that you could get writing help on any and all papers you are writing for any course. We place the link to Smarthinking in each course so you can use it.
We conducted a recent study on Smarthinking usage. If you are using Smarthinking you are four times more likely to be earning passing grades.
We encourage you to use this service for any papers that you are assigned in your courses. It can help. You do need to plan on 24-hours to get the review back. If you’re not sure how to use the service contact your instructors. They can help.
