Perfect Passing Rate at Stevens-Henager College

Logan’s CNA students set the bar high
Logan, Utah (February 13, 2014)  —

The students at the Logan campus of Stevens-Henager College attained a 100 percent pass rate for the Utah Nursing Assistant Registry this month, an achievement that takes focus and professional dedication to accomplish.

The course instructor, Lindsay Summers, is a licensed practical nurse who has more than 13 years of experience in the medical field. She has taught at Stevens-Henager College for three years and says the class environment at the college helps set up students for success.

"Stevens-Henager offers very comprehensive CNA courses within the Medical Specialties program with small class sizes so each student receives individualized attention," she said. "My students have attained a 100 percent pass rate several times throughout my teaching career at the college because students at the college are given the information and help they need to succeed."

Summers teaches a new group of students every eight weeks because Stevens-Henager College operates on a module system. Students can graduate with an Associate of Occupational Studies in Medical Specialties in as little as 20 months, and after students pass the state exam, they can pursue career opportunities at healthcare institutions like hospitals, home health and hospice agencies, and nursing homes.

Summers says that students can expect the best program possible at Stevens-Henager College. CNA courses follow strict guidelines and criteria in line with the approval of the courses by the Utah Nursing Assistant Registry.

"The Logan campus has an amazing medical department with staff members who are dedicated to the student's success," Summers said. "We truly care that each student succeeds and finds employment after graduation."
