At Stevens-Henager College, you don't have to be a star athlete or a straight-A student to qualify for one of the 14 new scholarships offered by our family of colleges. These scholarships are meant for real people like you to help you pay for college and start your path to a better, more rewarding career. These scholarships are for:

Scholarships for first-time college students, single parents, and mothers

First Time College Students

First Time Degree Scholarship:

Applicant must be the first person in his or her immediate family (parents and siblings) to pursue a college degree, and this must be the first degree program that the applicant has pursued.

Scholarship value: $3,000—$5,000

Parents

Single Parent Student Scholarship:

Applicant must be the single custodial parent for a child under the age of 18 (proof required) and be presently single, divorced, or widowed.

Applicants must be female, have children under the age of 18, demonstrate financial need through the FAFSA process, and enroll in one of the college's accounting programs.

Minority Groups

Hispanic Student Scholarship:

Applicant must be of Hispanic heritage, be fluent in Spanish and English, and be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.

Scholarships for current and future professionals

Healthcare

Healthcare Provider Scholarship:

Applicants must enroll in a healthcare program, demonstrate financial need through the FAFSA process, and submit a 500 word essay on why they want to enter the healthcare profession.

Applicants must demonstrate financial need through the FAFSA process, express a desire to eventually go into the nursing profession, and enroll in one of the college's healthcare programs.

Applicant must be female, 35 or older, and pursuing their first associate's or bachelor's degree.

Applicants must enroll in one of the college's business programs and submit a draft business plan.

IT Professional Scholarship:

Applicants must enroll in an IT program, demonstrate financial need through the FAFSA process, and earn at least one vendor certification before graduation.

Leadership Scholarship:

Applicants must have demonstrated leadership experience.

General requirements:

  • Scholarships may only be awarded to new students.
  • A student may not receive multiple scholarships from the college. External scholarships are also encouraged.
  • To remain eligible for the scholarship, recipients must maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 and at least 85% attendance.
  • If scholarships include specific eligibility criteria and may only be awarded after application and determination of eligibility.
