As a student of Stevens-Henager, please refer to this page for answers to questions regarding the closure of the Logan, UT, Orem, UT, St. George, UT, and Idaho Falls, ID campuses. We will periodically update this page with additional information as it becomes available.

Q.
When are the Idaho Falls, ID; Logan, UT; Orem (Provo), UT; and St. George, UT campuses closing?
A.
The Idaho Falls, ID; Logan, UT; Orem (Provo), UT; and St. George, UT campuses will cease instruction on September 13, 2020.
Q.
Are my credits valid, after the campus closes?
A.
Yes. The closure of the campus will not affect any of the credits that you earned at Stevens-Henager College before the closure. Any credits that you have earned you can keep. Any credits that you earned at Stevens-Henager College were earned at an accredited institution. Stevens-Henager College is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges, ACCSC. ACCSC is an accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

Will my degree from the Stevens-Henager College still be valid?
A.
Yes. Your degree from Stevens-Henager is still valid. The degree you received from Stevens-Henager was from an accredited institution. Stevens-Henager College is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges, ACCSC. ACCSC is an accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
Q.
What will happen to my academic records after closure?
A.
Your academic records will be preserved and accessible after the Stevens-Henager campuses close. Your records will be preserved and maintained by the Center for Excellence in Higher Education, Inc. Stevens-Henager graduates, and former students, can access their records through CEHE’s Independence University and the Independence University Registrar's Office (see link below in answer to another question).

Can I transfer to Independence University to finish my degree?
A.
Yes. All of your completed credits will transfer to Independence University (“IU”), and you can complete your program, graduate, and earn your degree without interruption. IU will also give you a 30% Tuition Grant (a 30% reduction in your tuition) for any remaining tuition cost to complete your degree program. You will become an IU student and be eligible for all IU resources including, Scheduling, Student Services, Tutoring, and Career Services job search assistance upon graduation.

Can I transfer my credits to another college?
A.
Generally, no. The acceptance of transfer credit is a decision made by the receiving institution. In other words, if you transfer to another college, it is up to that college to decide if they will accept any credits you earned at Stevens-Henager .
Q.
What if I don’t want to transfer to Independence University to complete my degree?
A.
If you don’t want to transfer to IU to complete your degree, Stevens-Henager will refund/return all Federal Title IV Student Loan Funds (directly to your lender) that you have received since you began your current enrollment period at the college. Stevens-Henager will also refund/return any personal “cash” payments that you have made directly to the college since you began your current enrollment period at the college. CEHE will also write-off or eliminate any loan balance you may have through the college’s EduPlan loan program.

Are there other schools that I should consider transferring to?
A.
Yes. Below is a list of other Stevens Henager Colleges that, in many cases, offer the same program you are taking. This is not a complete list, so you should look into other colleges in your area that may be an option for you to transfer into.

Q.
Will other schools that are not a part of Stevens Henager College accept my credits or honor any scholarships I have?
A.
Maybe. The acceptance of transfer credit is a decision made by the receiving institution. In other words, if you transfer to another college, it is up to that college to decide if they will accept any credits you earned before. Generally, you should assume that credits earned at Stevens-Henager will not transfer to other colleges.

 

With respect to Scholarships, the decision to accept or apply any scholarships will be up to the college where you transfer. You should assume that they will not honor any previous scholarships that you may have received.

How do I request my Stevens-Henager transcripts?
A.
You may request your transcript from, from Independence University (free of charge) until June 30th, by clicking on this link to a service provided by Parchment. You will need to click on the link and then fill in some information on that website to request your transcript.

Can I still get Career Services Assistance?
A.
Yes. We encourage you to get a jump on your career search! Stevens-Henager’s Career Services department will continue to be on campus and available weekdays for one-on-one meetings, trainings, and guidance with the following:

  • Job Search Prep
  • Career Fairs
Q.
Can I still get Career Services Assistance after the college closes?
A.
Yes. As a student or graduate, we will continue to assist you in your job search. Take advantage of this valuable, no-cost service up to a full year after graduation. Career Services can help you in making informed decisions about your career, identify employment opportunities, and fine-tune your job search skills. Although the college does not guarantee employment, we can provide networking techniques, contacts, potential interviews, and guidance during the job seeking process.

Can I still get Academic Advising services?
A.
Yes. Stevens-Henager will still provide academic assistance and guidance through the college’s date of closure. Afterwards, we will also provide academic assistance through our sister college Independence University.
Q.
I have disability accommodation. Do I have to go through the same application process when I transfer to another institution?
A.
Yes. Because each institution has different processes in place, it will be up to that institution to guide you on specifics. You may request copies of your disability accommodations from Stevens-Henager if you require that information.

Do you have information on Stevens Henager College’s accreditation?
A.
Yes. Stevens Henager College is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (“ACCSC”). The Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges is a recognized accrediting agency by the U.S. Department of Education.
