Cisco Systems Donates $200,000 in Equipment to Stevens-Henager College

Boise, Idaho (June 25, 2013) —
The Boise campus of Stevens-Henager College, a leading provider of on-campus and online higher education, announced today that Cisco Systems, Inc. donated $200,000 worth of IT equipment to the campus' School of Technology.
"At Stevens-Henager College we provide our students with hands-on experience that makes them competitive in their careers," said Dr. Helena Hanson, campus director. "The generous donation by Cisco Systems will ensure our students have access to the leading-edge technology that will set them apart in the workforce."
Under the direction of Glenn Pfautsch, associate dean for the campus' School of Technology and Cisco-certified academic trainer, the Boise campus is a leading Cisco Networking Academy in Treasure Valley. Students will use the donated equipment for hands-on learning in the classroom. The donation includes routers, PoE blades, servers, Wi-Fi equipment, VoIP phones, Cisco catalyst switches and other equipment. Cisco regularly donates surplus equipment to their Networking Academies.
Pfautsch has been a certified Networking Academy instructor with Cisco for 15 years, which enables the school to have access to the most current curricula, textbooks, lab equipment and other academic resources at no charge. Students are also able to receive discounted fees for Cisco certifications when they score well on certification exams.
