Salt Lake City, UT – Stevens-Henager College welcomes Dr. Henry Oh to the Salt Lake City campus as the Dean of Healthcare and the Clinical Director of Respiratory Therapy. In this new position, Dr. Oh will work to improve and grow the School of Healthcare within Stevens-Henager College. He is also hoping to increase the number of respiratory therapy graduates. “Many in the field of respiratory therapy are going into retirement, and we need a new generation to continue to provide quality respiratory care and new leaders to guide the direction of the profession,” Oh said. “I would love to mentor those ones who are interested to advance in their career.” Aside from being a registered respiratory therapist, Dr. Oh has doctorates in education and science and is a certified medical technologist, a chartered biologist in the U.K., and a European professional biologist. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Biology and an Associate Fellow of the New York Academy of Medicine. Dr. Oh was recently confirmed as the vice president of the Utah State Society of American Medical Technologists. He presented at the society's meeting and was selected to be their delegate to the national meeting in Washington, D.C. in July 2018. In 2017, Dr. Oh received the Outstanding Achiever Award for Medicine and Allied Sciences from the Asia Pacific Excellence Awards. He was also recognized as an International Distinguished Scholar in April of 2017, a Master Teacher of Honor by the Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society in 2013, a Teacher of Honor Distinction in 2010, and a U.S. National Teacher of the Year Honorable Mention in 2007.
