Students Commemorate Education Victories With Families and Supporters
Boise, Idaho (May 17, 2013) —
Stevens-Henager College, a leading provider of on-campus and online higher education, celebrated the achievements of 210 graduates from its Boise and Nampa campuses last week with commencement speaker Amanda Broadnax, Dale Carnegie area manager for Southwestern Idaho.
Degrees earned during the graduation ceremonies included 160 recipients of an associate degree in applied science and occupational studies, 49 Bachelor of Science recipients and one Master of Healthcare Administration.
Last week’s graduation was the first for the Nampa campus, which opened in October 2010. Nampa is a satellite of the Boise campus and offers many of the same programs that are available at its sister campus, but is closer to where many students live and work.
Additionally, the commencement featured the first graduates from the forensic accounting, systems security, and human resources emphasis programs.
Broadnax, who addressed the graduates, received a Master of Science in Adult and Organizational Learning and Leadership from the University of Idaho and a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communications from Iowa State University. For the past 15 years, Amanda has worked in the field of adult and organizational learning helping organizations and individuals develop leadership skills, improve communications, and create high-performing teams.
