Fair Sponsored by the National Guard is the First Ever in Salt Lake ValleySalt Lake City (November 19, 2012) — Stevens-Henager College, a leading provider of on-campus and online higher education, is helping organize a Military Education Fair alongside other local colleges. The fair, open to all military branches, veterans and their dependents, is sponsored by the Utah National Guard and will be held Wednesday, Nov. 28, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Viridian Event Center, located at 8030 S. 1825 W. in West Jordan. “Researching educational options can be an overwhelming process for many individuals. This fair is designed to simplify that process for military families and veterans,” said Tony Kiser, Stevens-Henager College military liaison and business outreach manager. “Those attending will have an opportunity to meet directly with many of the local higher education institutions.” Fair attendees will have the opportunity to speak with representatives from various colleges and universities from across Utah. Additionally, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and the Utah Department of Veterans Affairs will be on hand to answer benefit questions for attendees and their families. The event will also offer workshops on scholarships, tuition assistance, veteran benefits and Military Spouse Career Advancement Accounts (MyCAA). The Military Education Fair is free and no registration is required. For more information, contact Tony Kiser at firstname.lastname@example.org or 801-622-1567 ext. 1307.
