STEVENS-HENAGER COLLEGE IN SALT LAKE CITY CELEBRATES 159 NEW GRADUATES

By Published on June 6, 2018

Salt Lake City, UT – The Stevens-Henager College Murray (Salt Lake City) campus awarded 159 degrees during the 2017–2018 academic year. In celebration of the accomplishments of those graduates, a commencement ceremony will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, June 8.

“Some of our students start classes here not truly believing they could be a college graduate,” said Gina Seitz, associate director of the Stevens-Henager Murray (Salt Lake City) campus. “They come in with struggles and hardships, and sometimes years of feeling like achieving a degree and finding a career was meant for ‘other people’ and not for them. The greatest joy I see in my job is watching the pride these students have when they walk across the stage and get their diploma. Everything about them is different from when they walked through the door, and you can see it in them when they walk. Their heads are held higher and they walk with confidence. This is why we all do what we do here; to see the difference we can make in someone’s life.”

As a career-focused institution, Stevens-Henager College has been helping students across Idaho and Utah fast-track successful career paths for 127 years. With flexible class schedules and smaller-than-average class sizes, students can tailor their experience to fit their needs and goals.

“The faculty and staff members at Stevens-Henager were my biggest supporters, along with my girlfriend and my kids,” said Linda Benson. “My instructors were truly understanding and always helped me when I needed it.”

The graduation will take place at the Capitol Theater in Salt Lake City.
