Provo High and Timpview High Students Awarded People’s Choice, 1st-, 2nd- and 3rd-Place Prizes
Provo, Utah (March 18, 2013) —
Stevens-Henager College recognized four Utah County high schoolers for their artwork at the Utah County High School Awards Ceremony the college held on Feb. 28. The students’ work was among more than 130 pieces of artwork from 17 high schools in Utah County that were submitted and put on display at the campus.
Easton Madson, from Provo High, was awarded first place; Jackson Minor, from Timpview High, was awarded second place; Sarah Coleman, from Timpview High, was awarded third place; and Kenyon Kennard, also from Timpview High, was awarded the People’s Choice Award.
“This is the fourth, and most successful, year we’ve held this competition and I am astounded every year by the quality of art our local high school students produce,” said Tim Miller, associate dean for the School of Graphic Arts at Stevens-Henager College. “We hope by providing venues like this to display their art, it will inspire high school students to continue studying after high school and further develop their talents.”
Stevens-Henager College offers four degrees in graphic arts, including Web design and graphic arts with an information design emphasis. For more information about Stevens-Henager College, visit www.stevenshenager.edu or call 801-373-0285.
